A reservoir of opportunities for world-building creatives: students, entrepreneurs and individuals.
Provides $1,800 grants to professional visual artists connected to Inglewood to support their studio practice. Selected artists also give an artist talk and lead a youth art workshop in the community. Up to four grants will be awarded.
Eligibility: Professional visual artists who live or work in Inglewood, or have a significant tie to the city. Applicants must be current members of Inglewood Open Studios; current students and IOS board members are not eligible.

Provides $12,000 to independent artists creating participatory, community-based projects in non-arts spaces throughout Los Angeles. Projects include a series of artist-led workshops and at least one public event designed to engage local communities.
Eligibility: Independent artists proposing a residency project within the City of Los Angeles. Applicants should be able to lead community-based programming and plan at least 11 workshops plus one culminating public event.

A major public-art opportunity from the City of Los Angeles for professional artists interested in creating permanent work for the Los Angeles Convention Center expansion and modernization project. Selected artists will join a prequalified roster and may be invited to compete for commissions ranging from $100,000 to $1 million.
Eligibility: Professional artists and artist teams who live and work in Los Angeles County. Artists working in any medium may apply, but applicants should demonstrate the experience and capacity to design, fabricate and install permanent public artwork.

Provides $5,000–$7,500 grants to support experimental artistic research, creative development, and public-facing projects in the Washington, D.C. region. The program has supported more than 160 artists since its launch in 2019.
Eligibility: Artists based in the Washington, D.C. region pursuing experimental, multidisciplinary, or collaborative creative practices. Applicants must meet the program's residency and project requirements.
Deadline: November 19, 2026
Provides $5,000 grants to Philadelphia-based artists and collectives developing experimental, collaborative, and community-centered creative projects. Twelve grants will be awarded, supporting work that engages audiences beyond traditional gallery spaces.
Eligibility: Artists and collectives based in Philadelphia working in visual arts, performance, video, sculpture, or interdisciplinary practices. Proposed projects must have a public-facing component in Philadelphia.
Deadline: November 22, 2026
Urgent funding for individual experimental artists facing sudden, time-sensitive opportunities or unexpected emergencies. Amounts vary. Eligibility: Individual artists working in dance, music/sound, performance art/theater, poetry, and visual arts. Apply 8–10 weeks before your public presentation date.

Unrestricted grants for professional visual artists — painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper — with recognizable artistic merit and demonstrable financial need. Funds can be used for new work, studio space, supplies, exhibition prep, residencies, or living expenses. International applicants welcome.
